three days of bleary-eyed, tedious clacking at the computer, and I began to feel like I was in school again. in that oh-god-make-it-stop kind of way, not so much in the what-fascinating-ideas!-let's-formulate-a-thesis kind of way. the difference now is that the tedium (mostly) pays, and the tedium (unless something weird occurs) will be published. so in fact it's better, on the whole, than school ever was.
I think if I were honest right now I would confess that I'm depressed. ugh. maybe it's just the winter. the lack of light.
maybe it's the prospect of going home.
