so I had my first record review published two weeks ago, and I'm considerably less excited about it than I thought I'd be. mostly because a bumbling copyeditor made a number of unnecessary changes to the short piece before it went to press and after I'd last seen it. I'm very particular about the things that I write, about word usage and specific language, and to have a piece, short & superfluous as it was, changed on me in five different places, including the deletion of a whole sentence, is pretty freaking grating to me. so grating that I don't even feel like telling anyone to read it.
god, I'm such a fussy brat.
at least they're paying me for the fucking thing.
